No. Chapter 7 Season 2 ran from March 19 to June 5, 2026, and it finished with a live event called Shattered. Fortnite rolled straight into Chapter 7 Season 3, Runners, on June 6. Runners is scheduled to end on August 20, 2026, so that is the season you are buying into today.
Epic’s support policy on expired passes leaves no wiggle room. “It is not possible to purchase Passes for seasons that have ended,” it states, and the support team cannot grant one after the fact. Most guides you will find were published in March 2026 and still read as though the track is live.

What the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 battle pass cost
Its sticker price was 800 V-Bucks, or roughly $8.99. Fortnite Crew members paying $11.99 a month got it folded into the subscription. On paper, 800 looks cheaper than the 1,000 V-Bucks Epic had charged for years. It was not.
Epic raised V-Bucks prices on March 19, 2026, the same day Showdown launched. Its stated reason was short. “The cost of running Fortnite has gone up a lot, and we’re raising prices to help pay the bills,” the announcement read. So the number on the pass fell. Your dollar cost stayed exactly where it was.

Around those eight sat the Ice Prince sidekick, a pair of Kicks called Ice King’s Frostwalkers, and three original Jam Tracks. Quest chains layered extra styles on top, including Golden Exalted Ice King, Icebreaker Foundation, and Violet Board Jules.
Visually, the roster split down the middle of the rivalry. Frost and pale blue sat on the Ice King’s half, while the Foundation’s half leaned on armor plating and hard edges. Squibbly and Dasha broke that pattern, which is probably why they showed up in more lobbies than the reforged veterans did.
Buying before 11:59 PM ET on March 26, 2026 also granted the Stealth Tech Foundation outfit as a launch week bonus. That window shut a week into the season.

How the pages and levels worked
Showdown dropped the old straight ladder. Each of the eight characters owned a page holding roughly 12 to 14 items across two tiers. You spent levels on whichever page you wanted once the Ice King arrived, so a player chasing Dasha never had to grind through Squibbly first. Every character page carried 100 V-Bucks somewhere inside it.
Bonus reward pages opened once the main track was done. Players in a hurry could buy 2,400 V-Bucks for about $22.99 and take a 25-level head start instead of grinding. Fortnite Crew members skipped that decision entirely, since the subscription covered the pass on the first of each month.
The Showdown vote and the Shattered finale
Showdown’s hook was a rivalry. Every player picked Team Foundation or Team Ice King, and the running score shaped how the story closed out rather than what you paid.
Shattered aired on June 5, 2026. By the end, the Ice King’s side came out ahead, then the Dark Voyager turned on him and finished him off at the Zero Point.
Then the Visitor revealed himself as Geno, leader of the Imagined Order, and Geno kicked Agent Jones off a cliff. Anyone who watched live alongside a friend collected the Dark Voyager Sidekick when Runners began.

Was the pass worth $8.99?
Do the math on the payback. Full passes used to hand back 1,500 V-Bucks, enough to buy the next one and bank 500. Showdown returned up to 800, which is exactly the cost of entry and nothing more. So the loop where a finished pass funded the next one is over. Every season now costs real money again.
That matters most in households where a kid does the buying. Unwanted Fortnite charges have already triggered a federal refund program. According to the Federal Trade Commission, the agency sent 969,173 payments totaling more than $126 million to US Fortnite players in June 2025. You cannot get the pass itself back. Individual cosmetics are a different story. Since Chapter 5 Season 4, Epic has allowed selected pass items to return to the Item Shop later, so a Squibbly or a Lady Windfrost could reappear at some point. Nothing is promised, and Bugs Bunny is the least likely of the eight given the licensing.
